Percutaneous epididymal sperm aspiration (PESA) is a procedure performed for men who are having sperm retrieved for IVF/ICSI and face obstructive azoospermia caused by a prior vasectomy or infection. The procedure is timed in coordination with their female partner’s egg retrieval cycle.
